A few changes this month of July : )
On Wednesday nights, instead of regular evening church chapels we have had
"Movie Nights".
I didn't really like this idea at first, but the Lord it seemed has laid it
on Lee's heart to do so.
I thought to myself, -well, Yulia can do a good job translating for Lee too,
Artiom and Lee could do a great job leading worship too. Besides, I don't
think that Lee had made this decision because I was going to be on my
vacation for firs few weeks of July. Well, to be honest I did not think the
Movie Nights would be fruitful, I thought -who was gonna want to come to
watch movies on like this TV screen, this is such an old thing, hey, not
even stereo : ) But I was wrong! The Lord had other plans!! It seemed
the Lord had other plans for a lot of things this month :) : Yup!
Movie Nights has become fruitful event. We had different people show up and
every time they heard the Gospel? As a result a few people accepted the
Lord. One of them was a gentleman named Mikhail? Who came to the church
service the next day. Please pray for those people, all though we make
several contacts, people don't stay in the church. And instead of attending
the fellowship they fall away very quickly.
Also this month we had a short term missionary come visit us. Jenny is an
American but she lives and works in S. Korea. She is a teacher at a
Christian school in Seoul. Her first visit to Russia was with the group of
your from that school. They were here for the mission trip and ministry with
Calvary Chapel Vladimir and Alexandrov. I shared about it on my blog.
Jenny is a teacher so her experience could be used here very much! Her
desire was to help us with short VBS in the month of July. Despite all the
preparation we made and all the kids invited, unfortunately we did not have
as many kids as we have planned to receive. There was only one girl, but
it made it all the more special just for her : ) Jenny was not discouraged a
bit : )
Jenny and Yulia did other ministries, like home visits, there are people who
have excepted the Lord a while ago but are not in the fellowship and they
need encouragement in faith. Yulia was sharing with me on how Jenny became
a spiritual encouragement for her too. They started doing girls-club
together (whatever fun and fellowship thing for a few girls from the
church). Yulia and Jenny were also able to go to a little women
conference/seminar in Colchugina that month. For that time while Jenny was
here she was an encouragement for the whole team and she was always willing
to minister in any given opportunity.
The streetball tournament that we have planed to have had to be postponed
due to the weather conditions, we had to do it a few weeks later. Just as I
shared before - instead of one event the Lord brings opportunity to have
another. There is always ways to minister. The day we were supposed have
tournament, this lady that goes to church came with her daughter to ask for
a prayer for the granddaughter that was taking important exams at the
university, this opened up a door for witnessing. This family shared about
all sorts of issues they were going thru, Lee was able to address them all
and help the ladies open up their eyes to the truth of the Word that speaks
of all the aspects in life concerning godliness. God answered all our
prayers and the girl was able to pass all the exams.
As for me, I had a wonderful vacation for the half of July. It became one
of all my most memorable events this summer : )
I joined the summer camp-VBS at Stepancevo for the ministry by "Uteshenie
FOND". Terrific ministry !!! It was well organized, it was fun, we had
wonderful weather, great kids, amazing group of workers and volunteers.

A few weeks later we finally had the chance to set up streetball tournament
at the "Record" stadium. We had 8 teams each of 3 players sign up. We did
the games and the finals the next day. It was a lot of fun and we used every
opportunity to spread the Word, we had New Testaments and books to give
away, also some people that were drawn to the event had a chance to hear
about Jesus as we took time to meet people and make personal contacts.

August/ September
For the most of August we were back to our weekly events like street
evangelism, Wednesday and Sunday services, For the exception of Friday night
home Bible study, Lee had a vision to make it more youth oriented, so I made
it all more fun activities containing and more great principals from the
Word! Yay!!!

August's main event for our missionary team was Lee's family coming back
from the states and a best of all times Calvary Chapel pastors conference in
St. Pet Russia !!! Unfortunately the rest of Lee's family was not able to
join us there. They had to stay in the States another week 'cuz little
Phoebe broke her arm and they had to wait till she got a little better : (
It was our chance to meet with Pastor Jeff at the conference, Yeah!!!!!!! It
was awesome! He is an awesome Pastor and we all missed him greatly!! Even
though he could stick around just for one day the teaching on the "salt &the
light" was awesome and encouraging. I love St. Pet. And the fact that I got
to see all my brothers and sisters from there whom I dearly love made all
that time all the more special. But it was the most special because I had an
awesome time with the Lord. He spoke to me about things in life, new
directions, building up my faith and fixing up my eyes on Him. One night
after all the sessions were over the Lord led me to the nearby beautiful
park for time along with Him so I could call out to Him and draw myself to
Him in prayer and worship. And he gave me a Word to build up, encourage,
give me peace about future and prepare for changes so I am not confused. He
spoke to me about future finishing the ministry in Alexandrov and taking me
to another place. It doesn't all makes perfect clear sense to me and I don't
see the whole picture but I have to trust the Lord. I need your prayers my
precious brothers and sisters : )
